About Adath USY

Adath Jeshurun USY is a Jewish Youth Group, a part of the international USY. Adath USY is a fun way for Jewish highschoolers to form friendships, learn more about their religion and culture, and become leaders in their community. Adath USY holds weekly Tuesday night programs and monthly Saturday night programs. Being a chapter in Emtza Region, Adath USYers are invited to all regional conventions, as well as Adath Jeshurun USY's own Chapter Convention, CMT.

Kadima

Kadima is Adath Jeshurun's Youth Group for 7th and 8th graders. Adath Kadima has Programs once a month, sometimes together with Maccabee or USY events.. Kadimaniks in Emtza Region USY are encouraged to attend Kadima Kinnus, a regional convention planned by USYers.

Maccabees

Maccabees are the 5th and 6th graders in Adath Jeshurun's Youth Group. Adath Maccabees holds programs monthly, sometimes together with Kadima or USY events.

Big Annual Events
USY and Kadima Play

Each Year, USYers and Kadimaniks from Adath Jeshurun come together to present a musical after months of practicing. Being involved in the play is a great way to have fun with friends and gain knowledge of theater whether you join the cast or the tech crew.

Purim Carnival

In celebration of Purim, Adath Jeshurun puts on a large carnival complete with moon bounces, fun games, prizes, food, and more. Game booths are run by Kadimaniks and USYers for younger children to enjoy. Silent auction for parents makes this carnival great for all generations.

Adath CMT

CMT is the Chapter convention of the year. Where every other convention is on a regional level, CMT allows Adath USYers to get to know their own chapter better. New members are initated into Adath Jeshurn USY and elections for the upcoming year occur. CMT is a convention you won't want to miss. Or, if you're a parent, you won't want your child to miss.

CMT for 2010 is May 21th-23rd, Applications are due by May 7th.
